Good morning, guys, how are you this fine, beautiful, cold, unusual morning? Alight, somebody take his coffee away from him, right now, he is way overloaded with it. Ah, come on guys, the country has just been served with an eviction notice, a change order, and a demand for accountability, and you are not ready for one of our head thumping conversations?
Pete, you went and did what we told you not to do yesterday, didn’t you? Yup, I could not help myself, this nation has been so mixed up, so goofy and so silly-headed I had to see how the shift and the change were going to start off. You know it was mostly political showmanship, right? I know, but the most hated political leader just got the top spot in the nation and the foes could not stop him. I mean even if you hate politics, you had to want to see the showdown.
Frankie, did you watch any of it? No, it won’t change anything out here, and nothing will change out here, and I don’t care about Washington D.C. because they are too focused on money and not humans. Frankie? Yes, Barb, really, too many promises and then too many fines and jail, nobody cares, it is not a good look for politicians to care about us. You know Pete, I am with him, but not quite so angry, illegals have stolen what little we had, and nothing looks to change, even if they are deported. Billy Bob, what say you? This change means nothing to me, it never actually changes anything, it is a merry-go-round that merely changes control masters every four to eight years.
Guys, you have given up America completely? I did not expect to hear from all of my Consortium buddies that they thought that America was down for the count. I mean is there no hope, there is no nation about to invade us, we are still doing business internationally, we are still welcoming tourists into the nation, kids are still going to school, soldiers are still enlisting of their own free will, what am I missing friends, help me. Pete all of that may be right, good, correct even, but the little guy is forgotten and one man in one office cannot change it and he himself states that street encampments are wicked.
Johnny, what happened the last time that leg of yours was badly infected? Oh, don’t go there Pete, please. Johnny, no gory details, but just what happened. The doctors had to clean out the sore really aggressively and also several times before it would heal. What also happened Johnny? Lots of yucky medications to deal with what was wrong inside, the infection, the swelling, and that kind of stuff. Pete, neat trick there old boy, infection, surgery, and swelling and medications on a leg to compare to a broken country, neat trick, I owe you a coffee tomorrow. Well, Frankie, it is true, had things gone badly the leg could have been gone, or even Johnny Boy himself, so draw the conclusions yourself, please.
What has happened here in this once great nation is this, think before reacting and throwing coffee at me, is we have allowed a man to replace our God. Now, none of us out here are all that religious but we all know who holds the world, the souls, and settles the accounts.
But America has gotten a little big for her britches, right Billy Bob, and now the consequences are coming home. America got big, grown-up, mature and all that, and said in a short span of time, we need no God in this nation to help us or to protect us and we changed our national culture, dangerous. Whoa, Pee, wait a minute, what are you talking about, you just went off the deep end and lost us all. You, me, little kids, the Pledge, the prayers, the flag, church, the bible, where are they now? Oh, shucks, yeah, you are right, gone mostly.
Okay Pete, what do we think will change with this shift as you have called it? Barb, this is supposed to be the land of the brave and the home of the free and of the legally entering immigrants, and of a nation that stands in the center and only leans left or right. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but we cannot do that when we are severely leaned on!
Pete, the government is so big, heavy, and aggressive, how do we ever get rid of them to live free again? By allowing Presidents to do what this one is doing and not being afraid. Darn! Pete, that is weird, but you are the coffee thinker, so maybe you could be right this time. Johnny, thin on this, were the last 4 years any good to anybody in this nation? No Pete they were not, quite poorly they were. Question answered.
This is too much, saying this goofball that is in Washington is going to do anything that will change anything, there is no way, nobody cares about the regular Joe anymore, we are too poor to count for anything, and we just get stepped on time and gain. Frankie, drinking sour apples again? No, darn it y’all, facing reality, you guys think there is a magic ‘fix it’ button waiting to be pushed and everything will be better. Frankie, breathe, that is not what we are saying. What we are saying is this, we are merely hoping that the heavy foot of interference will be taken off our necks and we will have a chance to breathe again, that is all. Okay, I am sorry, it just has been too long since someone cared about us and getting us free, some ain’t done nothing, and we are trapped nearly unto death out here and there ain’t no help. I know we are all trying to hope without being too hopeful.
Okay, coffee thinker, what is being done already that might shift the nation as you said when you woke us up this chilly morning? We may not have rotten veggies to throw but we can find something if you make our brains hurt too much, okay? Enough, enough I know I woke you up too early on a cold morning, but I wanted to talk, okay?
Do I dare start off with the word, illegals? What about them? They are being deported, immediately and aggressively, no more loss of benefits to them. What about all this false agenda stuff, woke, pride, softies, flags, life matters, all that is being dealt with and we are going back to basics? Now, that would be good, to get rid of all that mess. Now the police are not our enemy, right? Right, Pete. He wants the police to be able to do their job, the real job, going after real bad guys, some of whom have been allowed to hide with the homeless. When they hide with us, they make us look pretty bad, okay? Yeah, maybe the laws would settle down a little Pete. Exactly what I am thinking, we could breathe.
Remember we are the Homeless Consortium, we sit here, cold or hot, evening or day, and we talk and fuss and even get upset with ourselves and each other and even America. But we talk and discuss and think. I would not trade these discussions for anything, except for not being homeless anymore. And, we, want to say thanks for reading along with our little discussion group and our silly maybe crazy ideas, but maybe there is some real food for thought in there that may help you y’all. I know, us trying to help you, backward, but is that not the very state that this finds herself in right now? Backwards? I think the educated folks call it, perspective or something like that, meaning, see it a different way and maybe it will make sense and maybe a solution can be found. If we keep sitting and doing nothing, America may be lost….
Well folks, the Coffee Consortium has gotten their coffee worked through this morning despite the very cold temperatures. They and I threw about many weird, strange ideas and thoughts, please go and chew and think and we will again when it may not be so cold. Again, thanks for tagging along this day, blessings.
