Sadly, in America the police are thought and treated quite unfairly, they have a tough job to do and the lack of training, mentoring of the younger generation has made it harder. No human is perfect and no officer is perfect either, but there is respect due for just wearing the badge and holding the line. Now they have an even tougher line with the homeless they have to enforce ordinances and laws and maintain order without long term answers or functioning shelters. But, even with this truth, they are not the bad guy, they are just doing their job.
Simply Got Lost, OOPPSS! I Did it Again

Alright where have you been, we have been working the underground network trying to locate you. You already know that there would be two places I could possibly be if you can’t find me after two or three days and I am simply lost. Yea, you are right Howard, dead or lock up, which one? Alright, alright enough, jail ain’t that funny, but for us homeless folks it is our second home.
I just get so tired, you know I am not that young any more and I forget to set my watch alarm and I fall asleep on the darn bench and the minute do, here come the police with their fines and tickets. Lost, simply lost, I wish the minute I open eyes to a police officer I could be simply lost, but no I have to be lost in jail yet again for sleeping a bench because I am tired, old and homeless.
But, Gilly you know how I like to get lost the other way, in thinking, so in jail I can actually think without worrying about anything. It was good thinking about being settled or being lost, and how easy it is to be lost and lot to the streets and to never be found till after you are dead. You are the thinker out here Howard, but that ain’t your normal thinking, dud you figure anything out, or did you just get another one of your overthinking headaches again. Got the headache, but it was worth, because I figured out some stuff about being lost.
See, out here you are always cucking, tucking, hiding, running and hoping to never be seen because if you are they will most often call the police, so you have to be lost to be safe. But to be lost out here means you have to be alone most of the time and that means isolation and isolation is not good for anybody. Whether you got a roof or you ain’t got a roof. I seriously, think about if life events unfold in one given way and people are there you land in this manner and are good. If they unfold this way and nobody is around you will probably land a whole different way, street life, it can be that simple, as to being lost.
I mean we are homeless, we have no address, no fix location to find us, we have police records maybe hospitals, but other then that we are lost to society. Even if we get out small checks they are deposits, no set address related to them. How easy is it for us to slip into nothingness and for usto be completely lost, forget about, and never thought about again simply because we are homeless. It is just that simple, potters field waiting for us and nothing else, they will take no time for us at the end, just another lost, forgotten dead bum, I never thought life would go this way for me.
Okay, okay, take a breath, you know that our government will always provide for us, right. You are a knucklehead, if you think like that, they are doing what thy have to keep us lost and in the system so that we don’t break free and attempt to be found and come off the streets. The more lost we are the more controllable we are, why do you think police, jails, courts make money off of us, we are the lost ones, we make the government money, they ain’t going to ‘un-lost’ us, no way. Alright, my friend, just saying, I am and have been so very lost.

Will You Continue to Silently Allow the System to Swallow Us
Or
Will You Simply Speak Up, Say Enough, Rock the Boat
