Pete, good morning, this is Sally. Sally, good to meet you, and I am sorry you are out here with us, but you are safe with us. Thanks, that is what Johnny has been telling me. Pete should be shortly with coffee and hopefully food for all of us. I don’t want to barge in and take food from you, none of you were expecting me. If you were invited in by one of us, you are always welcome, so no worries at all. Okay, thanks.
Hey guys, sorry I am a little late, had to wait for the good stuff this morning. No problem, Pete, please meet our new friend. My bad, shucks, my bad manners, I am sorry, welcome new friend. Pete, Frankie, Mike, this is Sally, she is a part of our little group now, if you are all good with that. Fantastic, we need a balance with all of guys, so welcome aboard friend. I have food and coffee for everyone this morning, let’s dig in and relax for a few moments.
Sally, saddle on up to the food, do not be shy, we are all hungry in the morning and we never get a good night’s sleep out here, so please sit and drink coffee, you are safe here. Thank you, I have been alone and hiding for so long and I met Johnny, and he slowly got me to trust him. And then he told me about you guys and how you help each other and do a lot of talking about what is going on and how you help each other and the old ones. Yes, in a nutshell, that is what we do, we like to get mad at the government, silly laws, and ridiculous situations that cause more problems than they fix.
Do you ever talk about the drug problem and how it is partially due to doctors and their being part of the problem, but no one will see it? What do you mean, Sally? Like all the people who are hooked, stick and using drugs, who never did before, but after getting a prescription and refills, now cannot get off the stuff and their lives are ruined. Sally, it is usually Pete that throws the bombshell this early in the morning, but for your first visit you have thrown well friend.
You know if I may say something, they don’t separate the numbers when they call it addiction, they just use that popular but overused word. Yea, but would it not be better it those hooked for medical reasons had faster access to care, to prevent the long-term addiction? Doctors were never trained in proper pain management and with all the accidents, shootings, and junk that is going on today, the amount of legal drugs the chances of being addicted is off the charts. In other words, the chance of coming to live with us!
Sally, why the questions, if I may ask? I lost everything and even have fines due to the court because of drug addiction started after my accident, they freely handed me pain pills without any warnings. Dang, that is terrible and totally wrong, but we hear of it so often, all things gone, life is interrupted, and path back is crooked as a snake. Yes, you guys have not even mentioned family. Sally, most of us don’t know where our families are right now. Now I see why Johnny was telling me I needed to meet y’all, good people.
I mean what nobody wants to admit is that there are some people’s brains that are wired to be addicted to certain things, alcohol, chocolate, speeding, and even drugs. When we are not careful and the doctors hand out pills, or people play with drugs it is is a risky and sometimes a dangerous and deadly outcome. But, Billy Bob, why is it that way? Friend, there is only One who can answer that, and if He answers that for you, please broadcast the news around the world, then many can be set free by His almighty mercy. So, is there nothing that can be done, except to clean up the mess? Now, Frankie, none of your Eeyore mood today. Not much can be done until doctors are trained better and held accountable.
Billy Bob, right? Yes, Sally, I am glad you are here with us. Billy, how do you guys help others, you are just as homeless as we are, how do you help? I do not want to sound mean or disrespectful, it just doesn’t make sense. You have heard of that important and fancy word, Networking? Yea, I used to be one when I was able to work not that long ago. Awesome, that is what we do out here, very quiet, very underground, and with great care. These coffee mornings are far more than coffee; they are planning sessions. You guys are great side of good sneakiness!
Yeah, sally, you can call us sneaky, we sneak past those that want u to disappear, to move on, to go to jail, to be hungry and even to not exist. But what we do not do is ignore those in need, Sally our time here in the morning, when we are venting, talking, planning, drinking coffee, snacking is time to plan, to think, and to activate and to be prepared, to try and stay ahead of the laws that are changing so fast. Well, then my networking shills just may come n handy with this little group and your sneaky goodness plans for others, right? Yup, thanks.
Sally, here is an example, we just lost a dear friend, Barb, she was one that had to hide, and we did our best to help, but we lost her. I am not sharing to bring sadness but to show you what we do, we help hide folks, we network to find food, we patrol around to make sure that one is safe, we help keep them warm or cool if they have to stay put and out of sight. We even have a routine called ‘crazy homeless person,’ to draw all the attention if it is an emergency and we must get someone moved quickly. Y’all are all about coffee and nothing else
No, and we would love to have you join this little group and help us, and in that maybe you can find your way to freedom. But we don’t like the way the government has gone crazy, mad in love with the illegals and forgotten the veterans and the old ones. Foster kids aging out of broken system, what are they supposed to do? Domestic Violence, there is no protection for them in reality and truth, we know this very well, especially we just lost Barb. If the local or state or federal government won’t do what it takes to end homelessness, then we will do what it takes to protect and care for the old, frail and dying ones.
Hello folks, it’s me Billy Bob and yes, even Pete, we kind of went all over the map this morning, but we had a surprise guest who is now part of our Consortium. See, family used to be the vital backbone of America, but since it broke down it has been replaced by gangs, thugs and alternative groups and not all are healthy. Our little group out here on the streets functions as a little family to make sure we survive while y’all continue to forget about us. But, let us mind our manners ,we don’t want you to stop reading ‘cause we offended you, have a great day.
