Good Morning Folks, it’s me, Billy Bob, wanted to welcome you and also let you know that Pete gave me a note to read to y’all. He said that he wants you to join us for the Coffee Chat this morning, but it is going to be a hard one. He has found a real-life news article that will rattle your bones and probably make you angry. But if you can handle a tough talk, please join us.
Good Morning Pete, you have a serious matter for us this morning? Yes, this is not a good morning, this article caught my eye yesterday and has had me upset since then. What is it all about Pete? Dead kids! NO, please tell it is not true, kids dead in homelessness’s trap and garbage! Sorry, it is true, and we need to talk so we can be on the lookout.
Hey friends, good morning, Billy Bob already talked to you, so you have been warned, right? Yeah, I think we are ready, but none of us are sure, this is always a bad thing, kids in the homelessness struggle. I know that is why we need to talk this morning, if the crisis is reaching down to the kids, then the country is plumb out of control and something has to be done, and we need to think and talk. Coffee is much needed today my friend, coffee is here, and even some food thanks to a friend who cares for us.
So, Pete, give us the basic facts from the news article and then we will start talking from there. Mom and Dad and five kids living in a van, homeless of course. In Detroit, as the temperatures plummeted, there was no help, no housing. The van quit producing heat. 2 children died, 2 and 9. Then they were silly enough to admit that the Mom had reached for help back in November but had not been ‘served.’ 2 dead kids because of homelessness.
That is totally awful, and someone needs to pay for this wickedness, I mean how do you allow a mom and dad to remain outside with 5 children? Oh, Pere, I know the answer, this is the answer. What is the answer Babr, because I don’t know the darn answer. It is so stinking easy easy, illegals! You are probably right, but kids paying the price of government failure, have we sunk so far Frankie?
Okay, let’s all breathe, there is nothing can be done right now for those precious children, they are gone home to be with Jesus. We need to slow down and think about their families and the hundreds of others still out there. Pete, even with strong coffee, what can we do in the face of weather that is so severe. We do not get that level of cold, but we get the wicked bad heat, what can we do?
It is one humdinger of a pickle sandwich when you thin about it. The reports, the government, and the agencies have all their labels, statistics, and such, and yet, none of them mention children suffering and at the risk of dying, why? Come on guys you know why they dare not mention kids and the old ones, total outrage and uproar would be turned on and out of control if that truth busted out and was made known! Darn Pete you got my head hurting this morning, I don’t like nothing kids are messed up by homelessness. Me either Frankie.
How can the people sleep at night knowing that they have given aid and comfort to the illegal and allowed an American to literally freeze to death in a van in a cold parking lot, how? Barb, it is all number and dollar bills, we have talked about this at our other morning talks but this one is far more serious, and it hurts knowing these little ones will never grow up. So, how do we help families in this area when the long hear settles in, how do we help? That is what we need to talk about and make plans for.
Johnny Boy, you still have that unique hidden spot for supplies that we have access to? Yup, it has never been found, and I protect it fiercely and it will be perfect for this mission. What do you want to tuck up in there? Water mostly, cool clothes, some easy-to-carry food items that we get and can spare once in a while. Yeah, Pete, we can do that it will be good, we have to help in any way we can. This is going to be an interesting summer with the shaking and shifting and the humans stuck in the middle, I can only wonder how many stories you will have for us Pete.
Hey Pete, I am still not sure about all this, you saying for real, it is not an AI creation or computer hack creation, that these two little ones are gone because this nation can’t get its act together on homelessness? Yes, Johnny Boy, the site of the tiny casket was too much to see, but it is truth, and at a casino where hundreds are gambling millions of dollars every day! Guys, this is why I warned everybody, we have never gone here before, but someone had to cross that line.
Now everyone is rallying to help the surviving family members. Of course, guilt is a great motivator to get things done that ought to have been done a long time ago. Here we are talking about water, cooling clothes, and the like and these people in Washington could end it tomorrow if they wanted to. Easy Barb, drink coffee, easy, we know it is a touchy topic, but the longer left under the carpet, unspoken, a forbidden subject, the more that will die. We have seen, not from the cold but from the extreme heat, it is bad come August and September around here, but we can help those who are not prepared.
Hey, it’s me, Billy Bob, we have been going around this subject here with our coffee this morning for a while and no one is getting any less unhappy. See, we are a bunch of homeless folks, but we are not people without emotions and even standards, on right and wrong. In our books, you don’t mess with the old ones, and you certainly don’t mess with the little ones, especially if you cause them to die. Too many of you believe that we homeless are a bunch of heathens with no standards and anything goes, that is your first mistake, we do not become, un-human because we are homeless. Hey, Billy Bob, easy, don’t scare off the folks, they may be the ones that can help us, easy, we are all upset this morning.
