Hello, today I ask you this profoundly simple question, when was the last time you were so very hungry that you could feel you stomach doubling over on itself? So thirsty that your throat were trying to close over? Or so tired that you were nearly sleep walking? There are basic life issues that we do not have to think about very often, if at all. But there is a group of people that die of hunger on our streets each week because we think it is their fault and we have no obligation to help. But we are okay feeding and housing the illegals? Please think on there question.
Simply Tired & Hungry, I’m Homeless Dude!

Imagine for one single, short and solitary moment this with me, you wake up and you have no refrigerator, no running water, no shower, no bed, no pantry, no clean clothes, no car and no hot coffee, and of course no job, how would your day start off? This is how your day would start, total Panic!
You ask where are you waking up? Tucked, hidden, stuffed into any hiding spot where humans and police officers cannot find you and harass you. This is how my day starts off each and every day, no creature comforts and no ability to provide for any of them. And, no, believe it or not, I am not complaining, I just want you to see just how blessed you are even if you believe you are struggling to get by daily.

When you see me on the streets, on the corner, on the bus bench, on the sidewalk and you wrongly assume, I am drunk or high on drugs. Could you stop and consider that maybe I am hungry, dehydrated, and in need of food, water and care and that I am no just another drunk panhandling? I care almost bet that you have not been without a meal for more than a day, not been without cold water for more than a few hours, and certainly not without a bed or your favorite pillow for more than a night if ever. I am simply tired, hungry and so in need of help.
Homelessness is taught, spoken of and portrayed to society at large as a choice and as something that we, the homeless, can fix if we so choose to do so. One government official calls it as visual eye sore that must be dealt with by a rough and harsh hand for the betterment of society, but without thought towards those affected by the action. Human beings, tired and hungry are nothing but an eye sore and need harsh and quick action?
Who would choose to be without food, to be without hope, to be without water, to be without medication to keep them out of the hospital, to be free of harassment by the police, who? The needed help for those that are hungry, tired and homeless is not there and the government is not concerned in the least, because we make to much money for them through all the programs that have been set up.
Listen to this oxymoron, you, society at large, want us to be invisible and not see us begging, but at the very same time you tie the hands of those that would feed and care for us! When we the homeless are hungry and in desperate need we will do things that are not right or proper or good, but if we have food, water and the basics to keep our stomachs calm our behavior is better overall.
When you at home have a baby, a toddle a pet that is misbehaving and it is because they are hungry, you do not discipline them, you feed them. So, how is it that you cannot think straight when you see one of us, forget that hungry can produce behavior that may cause problems?
We, the homeless, are just so tired, so dirty and so hungry, you can’t even imagine and yet you will not allow people to bring us food and water, really? And you still want us to stay out of sight and to ‘behave’ properly, how? With empty bellies comes behavior that just may be is not quite right, but we need food just as you do, or are we no longer human enough to be concerned about?
